The Murcielago is Lamborghini's current flagship supercar, having been on the market since its introduction 2002. Since its debut nearly a decade ago, the Murcielago line has been thoroughly updated and restyled. The latest iteration of the car is called LP640 and offers 632 horsepower via a 6.5-liter V12, improving performance significantly over the original Murcielago. Moreover, the massive engine produces 487 pound-feet of torque at 6000 rpm.

The Murcielago LP640 can be had with a six-speed manual or six-speed automated manual transmission. Either way, the sprint to 60 mph should take no more than 3.4 seconds. The mid-engine supercar comes standard with all-wheel-drive.

It features scissor doors, a rear spoiler that can be raised to an angle of 70 degrees, side air scoops that automatically open at speed, folding side mirrors for increased aerodynamics, and electronic Launch Control. The Murcielago LP640's nearest competitor is the Ferrari 599, which delivers 620 horsepower, albeit with a front-engine layout.
