Audi team up with NVIDIA for stuffing cool tech in hot cars.

At 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Vegas, Audi chairman Rupert Stadler said that mobile tech is going to play a major role in future driving, the way we drive and making it safer.

"These technologies have the potential to change the way we drive, making you safer in every driving situation," said Stadler.

For this, Audi has team up with e solution from Finland, to develop a software for it's in-car hardware platform, the Modular Infotainment System(MIS).

With this tech, Audi hopes to stop accidents caused by distraction due to mobile phones and electronic gadgets used by a normal pedestrians.

Audi with NVIDIA to develop, low-power, high-performance graphics. Stadler invited NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang on stage and showed off next-generation dashboard controls rendered using 3D graphics rather than physical dials and gears. Audi is using NVIDIA's just announced Tegra 2 processor in its new A8.

Stadler also showed off the new Audi A7's full-color heads-up display and predicted further innovation in the way information is presented to drivers.
