The high-end Eclipse GT Coupe and Spyder versions are equipped with a 265 HP, 3.8-liter SOHC 24-valve MIVEC V-6, which is coupled to a 5-speed automatic that uses Mitsubishi technology Sportronic ® transmission allows the driver to select gears manually when desired. Automatic climate control is also a feature included on all models Eclipse GT.



Standard safety equipment on all Eclipse models includes 4-wheel disc brakes (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD), Active Stability Control (ASC) and Traction Control Logic (TCL), and nose Dual air bag retention system (SRS) and side air bags. Side curtain airbags are included in the Eclipse coupe.
