Fiat's 500 Abarth will be getting it's Speedster.

As we recently heard that Chrysler will be helping Fiat in the distribution of the cars, Fiat's 500 fans have another reason to cheer up !!!.

We know that 500 Abarth is powered by 134 horsepower from a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a 0-60 run of around 7.6 seconds. Thought be small car, Fiat is working on the Speed model of 500 Abarth namely speedster.

Fiat is actually designing an Abarth Speedster – a unique new model that is rumored to borrow from the 1959 Zagato Abarth 750. There is no info regarding what engine the 500 Abarth Speedster might be having to zap the road, but rumor has it that a 163-horsepower version of the same 1.4-liter four-pot is a definite possibility.

Abarth is also developing a coupe version of the 500 inspired by the tiny Zagato Abarth 750 of 1959. The car will be offered in both open and closed forms. The closed version will feature the Zagato-signature double-bubble roof of the original.

The Abarth coupe is also likely to be offered with Fiat's new 1.4 MultiAir engine, which makes 163 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque in standard form or 178 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque with an additional tuning pack that Abarth labels Essesse. Whichever of these engines Abarth chooses, the coupe is likely to be quick, with a 0-60-mph time that should come inside the 7.4-second time of the 500 Essesse.
